The Twelve Days of Christmas

Carissime ricamatrici e amiche, finalmente, dopo davvero tanto tanto lavoro, la mia ultima fatica è pronta...! Siete pronte a conoscere la mia versione dei Dodici Giorni di Natale...? ;)
Non avete che da perdervi in questo nugolo di piccoli, dolci e gioiosi ornaments!

Dear stitchers and friends, after a very long long work I have finally finished my last patterns set...! Are you ready to know my version of the Twelve Days of Christmas? ;)
You only have to loose yourself in this heap of little, sweet and joyful ornaments!

 

La tradizione dei Dodici Giorni di Natale proviene dal passato e in ogni luogo viene festeggiata in modi diversi. I Dodici Giorni sono quelli che intercorrono fra Natale e l’Epifania, dal 26 dicembre al 6 gennaio, e ognuno di essi può essere dedicato ad una attività diversa.

Insieme ad ognuno di questi dodici schemi troverete alcuni divertenti consigli, attività e ricette per vivere questi giorni con amore e con un pizzico di magia tipica del mondo del bosco, della natura e delle fiabe.

 

 

The tradition of the Twelve Days of Christmas comes from the past and everywhere it’s celebrated in different ways. The Twelve Days are those between Christmas and Epiphany, from December 26th to January 6th  and each of them can be dedicated to a different activity.
Together with these twelve patterns you’ll find a few nice tips, activities and recipes to live these days with love and a little bit of magic, typical of the world of woods, nature and fairytales.

 

 

I dodici schemi sono impaginati come un libretto e sono suddivisi in due parti. Nella Prima Parte troverete i primi sei schemi relativi ai primi sei giorni; nella Seconda Parte troverete gli altri sei schemi fino al dodicesimo giorno.

E se volete aspettare la versione cartacea, avrete a disposizione un unico libretto che conterrà tutti i giorni/schemi insieme, edito in tre lingue diverse: italiano, inglese e francese.

 

 

The twelve patterns are paginated like a book and are divided into two parts. In the Part One you will find the first six patterns of the first six days, and in the Second Part you'll find the other six patterns until the twelfth day.
If you want to wait for the paper version, you will have a unique book that will contain all the days / patterns together, published in three different languages​​: Italian, English and French.

 

La Magia del Natale, e dei dodici Giorni di Natale, è calda, amorevole e avvolgente, e se volete spendere qualche ora di queste giornate ricamando, forse questi piccoli disegni vi saranno di compagnia.

The Magic of Christmas and of the Twelve Days of Christmas is warm, loving and hugging, and if you want to spend some hours of these beautiful days embroidering, maybe these little drawings will be a sweet company for you.

Autumn in Woodland

...ascoltate lo stormire delle foglie... per ogni soffio di vento una pioggia di foglie di rame e d'oro fluttua nell'aria e si posa sulla terra bagnata... i funghi crescono vicino agli alberi, nel muschio, il profumo di legna bruciata riempie l'aria, e in ogni tana un animaletto riposa insieme alla sua famiglia.
Nel Bosco Incantato ogni giorno d'autunno è una gran festa, i merli volano alla ricerca delle bacche, gli scoiattolini ritirano ghiande e castagne nelle loro calde tane, e una bellissima cerva passeggia con il suo cerbiattino fra le foglie cadenti, insegnandogli a percorrere sentieri nascosti, dove si trova l'erba più tenera...

 

...listen to the rustling of leaves in the wind... for every breath of wind a soft rain of leaves floats in the air and lays on the wet ground... mushrooms grow up near the trees, in the moss, the fragrance of wood smoke fills the air, and in every hole a little animal rest with its family.

In the Enchanted Forest each Autumn day is a big party, blackbirds fly in search of berries, the squirrels put acorns and chestnuts in their warm holes, and a beautiful doe with her lovely fawn walks among the falling leaves, teaching him to look for hidden paths, where the grass is softer...

 

Una bimba - un po' fata, un po' fanciulla - si diverte ad usare un grande fungo rosso come se fosse un ombrellino, riparandosi dal vento e dalla pioggia di fine Ottobre...

A Young maiden - a bit fairy, a bit girl - enjoys using one large red mushroom as an umbrella, sheltering from the wind and rain in late October...

 

Questo disegno è nato da solo in pochi giorni ed è dedicato alla Magia dell'Autunno. Io ho creato una borsina, un needlebook e un pincushion, ma voi potete creare ciò che vi piace di più! :)

...e ovviamente c'è anche un regalino... mi piaceva così tanto ricamare questi funghetti che ne ho disegnati altri tre piccini per creare uno "scissor fob" molto autunnale e dolce! Spero vi piaccia, i colori utilizzati sono questi: DMC 829, 3865, il meraviglioso 918 e il 3371 per il punto scritto delle foglie.

 

...and there is also a little gift for you! I liked so much to embroidering these mushrooms, so I drew another three of them for a very autumnal and sweet "scissor fob" ! I hope you enjoy it! The colors I used are these: DMC 829, 3865, the fantastic 918 and 3371 for stitching the leaves backstitch.

The Addams Family - A little correction

Carissime, ho di recente notato che c'è una piccola imprecisione nel mio schema The Addams Family, data dalla mia abitudine a vedere il telefilm in italiano, e non nella versione originale inglese. Nella versione italiana, infatti, come ben saprete, la "mano" si chiama proprio "Mano", ma nella versione originale lei si chiama "Thing", "Cosa". Per chi volesse utilizzare il nome originale ho preparato questo piccolo estratto dallo schema:

Dear stitchers and friends, I just realized that I made a little mistake in my pattern "The Addams Family", and if you have seen the original episodes and the movies maybe you already know it. In the Italian translation, the hand is called "Mano" (simply "Hand"), so I designed and called it in this way, but I recently found out that the original name for it is "Thing". I'm sorry... I really didn't know it... :/
If you prefer to stitching the original name I prepared this little extract from the pattern:
