The Witch's Bells - Midnight Black, Snow White and Antique Beige

Hello Stitchers!
I have just worked on the new Witch’s Bells and I took the photos about them. Others will be released but at the moment I present you the main colors: Midnight Black, the most witchy of all the Bells, then the pure Snow White and the elegant and beautiful Antique Beige. Only one of these last colors is special, I had three lovely rusty stars and I put one of them instead of the key charm. I love it so much! I created another one with the rusty star just for me, so I can tell you that it is one of my favorite ones.
Follow the main description of the Bells, the one you already read about the first ones and that will be the same for the next ones. I hope you like the new Witch’s Bells!

Buongiorno Ricamatrici!
Ho appena finite di lavorare alle nuove Witch’s Bells e ho scattato le fotografie. Altre verranno presentate prossimamente ma al momento vi presento i colori più importanti: il Nero Mezzanotte, la più stregosa fra le Witch’s Bells, poi il puro Bianco Neve e l’elegante e bellissimo Beige Antico. Una di queste ultime è speciale, avevo tre stelle arrugginite e ne ho attaccata una al posto della chiave. La adoro! Ne ho creata una uguale solo per me, per cui vi posso dire che è una delle mie preferite.
Segue la descrizione comune a tutte le Bells, l’avete già letta in merito alle precedenti e sarà la stessa per le prossime. Spero che vi piacciano le nuove Witch’s Bells!

This is the first creation of the Stitched Spells series by the Little Stitcher: my version of the famous Witch’s Bells. I wanted to create them according to my personal preference, adding my beloved lace and a beautiful charm key. I love simplicity, so I didn’t want to add anything else. I find them simple, elegant and truly magical!
You can adopt your Witch’s Bell/s alone or combine it with one of the witchy patterns, in PDF, or by requesting it in paper format. I will be happy to ship it together with your Witch’s Bells.
Each Witch’s Bell is made up of three bronze-colored brass bells and a key. The lace is hand sewn onto the rope knot.

Questa è la prima creazione della linea Stitched Spells by the Little Stitcher: la mia versione delle famose Witch’s Bells. Ho voluto crearle secondo il mio gusto personale, aggiungendo i miei amati pizzi e una bellissima chiave charm. Amo la semplicità, per cui non ho voluto aggiungere altro. Le trovo semplici, eleganti e davvero magiche!
Potete adottare la vostra – o le vostre – Witch’s Bell da sola oppure abbinarla a uno degli schemi stregosi, in PDF, oppure richiedendolo in formato cartaceo. Sarò felice di spedirlo insieme alle Witch’s Bells.
Ogni Witch’s Bell è formata da tre campanelle di ottone color bronzo, e da una chiave. Il pizzo è cucito a mano sul nodo della corda.

It is contained in a small pure cotton bag, which you can also use for other purposes, as I wanted the creations to be entirely made of natural materials, even in its packaging. Inside the bag you will also find the explanation of what the Witch’s Bells are and a little spell that you can pronounce when you hang it on the door. In fact, the Witch’s Bell traditionally protects the house and those who live there, keeping negative influences of all kinds away. Believing or not, it can also be simply a cute decoration for your home :)

È contenuta in un sacchettino di puro cotone, che potrete utilizzare anche per altri scopi, in quanto ho voluto che la piccola creazione fosse interamente di materiale naturale, anche nella sua confezione. All’interno del sacchettino troverete anche la spiegazione di cosa siano le Witch’s Bells e un piccolo incantesimo che potrete pronunciare quando la appenderete alla porta. La Witch’s Bell infatti, tradizionalmente protegge la casa e coloro che vi abitano, tenendo lontane le influenze negative di ogni genere. Che ci si creda o meno, può essere anche solo una decorazione carina per la vostra casa.

The Witch’s Bells are available in different colors, but the basic colors you will always find are snow white, antique beige and obviously the most witchy, midnight black. They are all handmade, so each one is unique. The key that accompanies them may vary depending on availability. Always based on the availability of colored lace and charms, you can also request your favorite Witch’s Bell, choosing its color and key. I will be happy to realize it especially for you.

Le Witch’s Bells sono disponibili in diversi colori, ma i colori base che troverete sempre sono il bianco neve, il crema antico e ovviamente le più stregose, il nero notte. Sono tutte realizzate a mano, per cui ognuna è unica. La chiave che le accompagna potrà variare a seconda della disponibilità. Sempre in base alla disponibilità dei pizzi colorati e dei charm potrete anche richiedere la vostra Witch’s Bell preferita, scegliendone il colore e la chiave. Sarò felice di confezionarla apposta per voi.

The Wicked Witch of the West

Dear Stitchers,
Finally is ready the last pattern for this Halloween... and it does not need much explanation. It is obviously inspired by the wonderful film The Wizard of Oz, and in particular by the very famous photograph of that time, which depicts the scary Wicked Witch of the West with her shadow behind her. I drew my full-length version – without the shadow – so it would be nicer to make and hang, during the Halloween period.

finalmente è pronto l'ultimo schema per questo Halloween... e non ha bisogno di molte spiegazioni. È ispirato ovviamente al meraviglioso film Il Mago di Oz, e in particolare alla famosissima fotografia dell'epoca, che raffigura la malvagia e spaventosa Strega dell'Ovest con la sua ombra alle sue spalle. Ho disegnato la mia versione a figura intera, così che fosse più carina da realizzare e appendere, durante il periodo di Halloween.

Little Women, The Frog Prince, Little Jane Eyre and Suffragette

Dear Stitchers,
I should have published these new patterns some time ago, but because of the lockdown here in Italy, due to the Coronavirus, I’ve not had the opportunity to frame the stitched pieces and produce the prints of the covers. Finally, luckily, I got it and I can introduce you to the new releases.
The first is dedicated to a novel that, I’m sure, many of you love very much: Little Women.
The pattern shows the of the four adorable sisters March portraits, Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy, each of them with her own characteristics that makes her different and unique.
Meg has the elegance and composure that characterize her nature, Jo is cheeky and lively, with loose hair and a fiery red dress, Beth is sweet and kind, braided hair and checkered dress, and Amy is just Amy, a bit frivolous but very pretty.

avrei dovuto pubblicare questi nuovi schemi qualche tempo fa, ma a causa anche del blocco qui in Italia, a causa del Coronavirus, non avevo avuto la possibilità di fare incorniciare i ricami e di produrre le stampe delle copertine. Finalmente, per fortuna, ci sono riuscita e posso presentarvi le nuove uscite.
La prima è dedicata a un romanzo che, sono certa, molte di voi amano moltissimo: Piccole Donne.
Nel ricamo sono presenti i ritratti delle quattro adorabili sorelle March, Meg, Jo, Beth ed Amy, ognuna con le sue caratteristiche che la rende diversa e unica.
Meg ha l’eleganza e la compostezza che caratterizzano il suo carattere, Jo è sbarazzina e vivace, con i capelli sciolti e l’abito rosso fuoco, Beth è dolce e gentile, i capelli intrecciati e il vestito a quadretti, ed Amy è proprio Amy, un po’ frivola ma molto carina.

Beside them, I designed the house of the author Louisa May Alcott, with its characteristic turquoise door, and I added one of the most beautiful quotes from the book.
I hope you enjoy my version of this novel, and that it may accompany a re-reading of the story, or the vision of the new movie.

Accanto a loro, ho disegnato la casa dell’autrice Louisa May Alcott, con la sua caratteristica porta turchese, e ho aggiunto una delle citazioni più belle del libro.
Spero che la mia versione di questo romanzo vi possa piacere, e che magari possa accompagnare una rilettura della storia, oppure la visione del nuovo film.

The second pattern is dedicated to a fairy tale you all surely know, the Frog Prince, or The Golden Globe. In my interpretation, the beautiful princess is preparing to give a kiss to the toad, that, with its little golden crown, waits confidently!
In the fairy tale, the princess is helped by the toad to recover the precious golden globe, fallen into the well. The frog swims to recover it, and then asks the princess to be welcomed in her castle for some time.

Il secondo ricamo è dedicato ad una fiaba che conoscete tutte, il Principe Ranocchio, o La Sfera D’Oro. Nella mia interpretazione, la bella principessa si appresta a dare un bacio al rospo, che con la sua coroncina attende fiducioso!
Nella fiaba, la principessa viene aiutata dal rospo a recuperare la preziosa sfera d’oro, caduta nel pozzo. La ranocchia nuota fino a recuperarla, e poi chiede alla principessa di accoglierlo nel suo castello per qualche tempo.

The quote from the fairy tale reminds us that when you receive help in the moment of greatest difficulty, then you must not be rude or repudiate those who helped, just as the princess must learn.
Of course, the toad is a beautiful prince, who will reveal himself when the spell is broken.
The embroidery is embellished with golden DMC yarn and also some golden beads, which you can easily find in a good needleshop - or on Amazon, where I purchased them in a package that contains different sizes.

La citazione tratta dalla fiaba ricorda che, quando si riceve aiuto nel momento di maggiore difficoltà, poi non bisogna essere scortesi o ripudiare chi ci ha aiutato, così come la principessa deve imparare.
Naturalmente il rospo è un bellissimo principe, che si rivelerà tale quando l’incantesimo sarà spezzato.
Il ricamo è impreziosito dal filato DMC dorato e da alcune perline dorate anch’esse, che potete facilmente trovare in una buona merceria online – oppure su Amazon, dove le ho acquistate io in una confezione che ne contiene di diverse dimensioni.

The third pattern is dedicated, once again, to my beloved Jane Eyre. This time I wanted to represent the first moment when she, as a child, arrives at the terrible college of Lowood, and rector obliges her to get on the stool and stand for the whole day, since she is considered a liar. The perfidious Mr. Brooklehurst will also invite all the other girls to beware of her, to hate her… but none of this will happen.

Il terzo schema è dedicato, ancora una volta, alla mia amata Jane Eyre. Questa volta ho voluto rappresentare il primo momento in cui lei, bambina, giunge al terribile collegio di Lowood, e viene fatta salire dal rettore su uno sgabello e stare immobile per l’intera giornata, poiché ritenuta una bugiarda. Il perfido Mr. Brooklehurst, inoltre, inviterà tutte le altre bambine a guardarsi da lei, a odiarla… ma nulla di questo succederà.

The scene has always touched me so much, because despite being sad and arousing anger, it is also full of such strength and endurance, demonstrated by Jane, that it is an example for everyone.
A very nice part of the scene takes place when the sweet Helen Burns secretly hands Jane a piece of bread, to support her in that hard moment. From that moment, the two girls will become inseparable friends, until poor Helen dies of tuberculosis.

La scena mi ha sempre colpita tanto, perché pur essendo triste e suscitando rabbia, è anche carica di una tale forza e resistenza, dimostrata da Jane, da essere d’esempio per tutte/i.
Una parte molto bella della scena avviene quando la dolcissima Helen Burns porge di nascosto a Jane un pezzetto di pane, per sostenerla in quel momento così duro. Da quel momento, le due bambine diventeranno amiche inseparabili, fino a quando la povera Helen morirà di tubercolosi.

Finally, the fourth pattern comes out from my great love for the actions that our women ancestors have carried out for us, and is inspired by the famous photo of Anne Kenney and Christabel Pankhurst. The Suffragettes fought so that women all over the world could begin to obtain the same rights as men, first of all the Right to Vote.
In America they obtained it on August 1920, one hundred years ago. These women are a constant example for my life and for the life of many other women, and this pattern is a small tribute to them.
Inside the pattern you will also find a second famous slogan of that time, which instead of “Votes for Women” says “Deeds not Words”, an extremely important warning. So you can choose which slogan you prefer to stitch on the Suffragette’s sheet, or you can stitch the alternative phrase as an ornament.

Infine, il quarto schema nasce dal mio grande amore per le azioni che le nostre antenate hanno svolto per noi, ed è ispirato alla famosa fotografia di Anne Kenney e Christabel Pankhurst. Le Suffragette si sono battute perché le donne di tutto il mondo potessero cominciare ad ottenere gli stessi diritti degli uomini, primo fra tutti il Diritto al Voto.
Queste donne sono per me un costante esempio di vita e questo schema è un piccolo tributo per loro.
All’interno dello schema troverete anche una seconda versione del cartello mostrato dalle due Suffragette, che al posto di “Votes for Women” dice “Deeds not Words”, ovvero “Fatti non Parole”, un monito estremamente importante. Potrete quindi scegliere in che modo ricamare le due attiviste, oppure ricamare a parte la frase alternativa.
Lo schema offre, inoltre, in alternativa la data dell’ottenimento del voto alle donne in Italia, che potete sostituire a quella del voto americano.

The Scarlet Letter and The Spinning Witch

Care Ricamine,
eccoci con la seconda parte della mia nuova collezione di Halloween 2018:
Il primo schema che vi presento è la mia nuova versione de La Lettera Scarlatta, un romanzo dal quale avevo già tratto uno dei miei primi schemi, diversi anni fa, scegliendo allora uno stile Primitive, e che adesso ho scelto di ricreare in una versione diversa, più elaborata ed elegante, dedicata alla protagonista del romanzo, Hester Prynne, e al significato più profondo, così come alla forza che alla fine lei riesce a trarre, dalla lettera scarlatta ricamata finemente sul suo abito.

Dear Stitchers,
here we are with the second part of my new Halloween 2018 collection:
The first pattern that I present you is my new version of The Scarlet Letter, a novel from which I had already drawn one of my first patterns, several years ago, choosing a Primitive style, and that now I chose to recreate in a different version , more elaborate and elegant, dedicated to the protagonist of the novel, Hester Prynne, and to the deeper meaning of the scarlet letter, finely embroidered on her dress, as well as the strength that she draw from it, in the end.

La frase che ho tratto dal libro, nonostante sia pronunciata dal marito di Hester, trovo che sia molto bella:
“Sogniamo nei nostri momenti di veglia, e camminiamo nel sonno.”
Una frase che forse può riferirsi a quanto, certe volte, non abbiamo coscienza del nostro cammino, e di quanto sia invece importante risvegliarsi dal sonno e vivere in modo più consapevole la nostra vita.

The phrase I took from the romance, even if it said by Hester’s husband, is very beautiful:
“We dream in our waking moments, and walk in our sleep.”
A phrase that perhaps can refer to how, sometimes, we are not aware of our path, and that reminds us how important it is to awake from our sleep and live our lives more consciously.

Il secondo schema, invece, raffigura una vecchia Strega Filatrice, che fila la lana grezza e ne ricava un filo magico con il quale confeziona gomitoli che non finiscono mai…

The second pattern depicts an old Spinner Witch, who spins the raw wool and draws a magical thread with which she sews balls that never end...

Ma soprattutto, tutto ciò che viene creato con la lana della Strega è infuso di un pizzico di magia e della preziosa fortuna del mondo delle Streghe, delle Fate e delle Donne di Conoscenza.

But above all, everything that is created with the wool of the Witch is infused with a pinch of magic and the precious fortune of the world of Witches, Fairies and Women of Knowledge.

Anne of Green Gables and Jane Austen

Dear Stitchers,
I'm happy to publish the first two patterns of this summer season, which will be full of surprises!
I wanted to work on a book that I know to be loved by many readers, and although in the stitching world is a very popular subject I wanted to give it my own interpretation.
The book is the beloved "Anne of Green Gables", by Lucy Maud Montgomery, which tells of the lively and dreaming Anne, a adorable girl in love with life and able to create stories and see beauty in everything.

Care Ricamatrici,
sono felice di pubblicare i primi due schemi di questa stagione estiva, che sarà ricchissima di sorprese!
Ho voluto lavorare su un libro che so essere amato da moltissime lettrici, nonostante nel ricamo sia un soggetto molto gettonato ho voluto darne anche io una mia interpretazione.
Il libro è l’amatissimo “Anne of Green Gables”, o “Anna dai Capelli Rossi”, di Lucy Maud Montgomery, che racconta della vivace e sognatrice Anna, innamorata della vita e capace di creare storie e vedere la bellezza in ogni cosa.

The phrase that I chose to accompany the drawing is a hymn to life. Anne is a great life teacher, who has a lot to teach us all.

La frase che ho scelto per accompagnare il disegno significa letteralmente “La vita è degna di essere vissuta, finché c’è un sorriso in essa”, ovvero finché è animata dal sorriso e vissuta sorridendo.
Anna è una grande maestra di vita, che ha molto da insegnare a tutte noi.

The second pattern is dedicated to my Literary Women Series, and this time it is dedicated to the great writer Jane Austen. Also in this case I chose two very beautiful quotes from two of his books: the first one tells “It isn’t what we say or think that defines us, but what we do”, and is taken from Sense and Sensibility; the second one is a sweet eulogy to friendship, a very important thing in our life, and tells “Friendship is certainly the finest balm”, from the book Northanger Abbey.

Il secondo disegno è dedicato alla mia serie Literary Women, e stavolta è dedicato alla grande scrittrice Jane Austen. Anche in questo caso ho scelto due citazioni molto belle da due suoi libri: la prima, tratta da Ragione e Sentimento, significa “Non è ciò che diciamo o pensiamo che ci definisce bensì ciò che facciamo”; mentre la seconda, tratta da Northanger Abbey, è un dolce elogio all’amicizia: “L’amicizia e certamente il balsamo migliore.”

Vintage Christmas Toys - Ornaments

Care Ricamatrici, per questo mese ho deciso di anticipare di qualche giorno la pubblicazione dell’ultimo schema del “Christmas All the Year Mistery SAL” e anche della tappa del mio “Happy Halloween Mistery SAL”. Dato che il 1 dicembre, giorno in cui era programmata l’uscita delle due nuove tappe, pubblicherò quasi tutta la collezione di Natale 2017 preferisco dividere in due giorni tutte le novità di quest’anno.
Quindi, eccoci qui la pubblicazione ufficiale del terzo set di schemi dedicato ai Giocattoli Vintage, di cui il Cavallino, il mio preferito, è l’ultimo schema che conclude in bellezza la nostra avventura iniziata un anno fa.

Dear Stitchers, this month I decided to anticipate the releasing of my latest “Christmas All the Year Mistery SAL” pattern, together with the second step of my "Happy Halloween Mistery SAL". Since on December 1st, the day when the two new stages releasing were planned, I will publish the most of my Christmas Collection 2017, I prefer to divide these lovely new entries in two days.
So here we are with the official publication of the third sets of Vintage Christmas Toys, of which the Rocking Horse, my favorite one, is the latest one and concludes our adventure started an year ago.

Questo set comprende quindi la Trombetta, la Trottola, e il dolcissimo Cavallino a dondolo, che sono certa sarà realizzato in modo stupendo e sarà bellissimo sui vostri alberi di Natale.
In fondo, siamo tutte un po’ bambini, e spero che questi giocattoli vi portino un po’ di quella speciale gioia di bambini che portiamo nel cuore, anche se spesso ce ne dimentichiamo.

This set includes the Trumpet, the Whirligig, and the sweet Rocking Horse, which I'm sure will be beautifully realized/finished by you and wonderful on your Christmas trees.
I think that all of us are a little bit children, and I hope these toys bring you some of the special children’s joy that we still keep inside our hearts, even if we often forget it.

Vintage Christmas Toys and All the Colors of Christmas

Dear Stitchers, this year the new releases list is very very long, so it’s good to begin now to present them to you. A lot of you joined my Christmas All the Year Mistery SAL and received a new pattern month by month. Now there’s only one missing, the December step, the most beautiful one for me, and it will complete the third and last set of my Christmas Vintage Toys finished as Ornaments.
Waiting for this one last pattern I want to present you the first two sets, that are available now in my Etsy shop.

Care Ricamatrici, quest’anno la lista di nuovi schemi è davvero molto lunga, perciò è bene cominciare subito. Molte di voi hanno partecipato al mio Christmas All the Year Mistery SAL e mese dopo mese hanno scoperto nuovi schemi. Ora ne manca solo uno, la tappa di Dicembre, la più bella secondo me, che completerà il terzo set composto dai Vintage Christmas Toys rifiniti come Ornaments.
In attesa di presentarvi questo terzo e ultimo set di schemi, vi presento ufficialmente i primi due, che saranno da oggi disponibili singolarmente nel mio negozio Etsy.

The first one is the first part of my CHRISTMAS VINTAGE TOYS series and it includes: the Teddy Bear, the Train, the Drum and the Doll.
Imagine an old house in the night of Christmas, and some children that open the presents with surprise… what they will find inside the cute boxes? Maybe something like these little designs…

Il primo è la prima parte dei CHRISTMAS VINTAGE TOYS, con i primi quattro giocattoli: Orsacchiotto, Trenino, Tamburo e Bambola.
Immaginate una vecchia casa nella notte di Natale, e alcuni bimbi che aprono i regali con la sorpresa dipinta sul volto… cosa troveranno in quelle graziose scatole? Forse qualcosa di simile a questi piccoli disegni…

The second one is the last set of my beloved The Colors of Christmas Series, and proposes once again the five Colors with five new designs to be added to the previous ones.

Il secondo è l’ultimo della mia amata serie The Color of Christmas, e ripropone tutti e cinque i colori con cinque nuovi soggetti da aggiungere ai precedenti.

I hope that you like these new designs and I suggest you to stay tuned to my page and shop, because on the first days of December I’ll release not only the third set of Toys but also three or four new patterns for this Christmas. I’m very sure that you will love them.

The Mother of the Bees and The Mermaid Inn

Care Ricamatrici, finalmente ho potuto terminare il ricamo delle api perché dopo un’interminabile attesa sono arrivate le piccole api di bronzo. Ci tenevo a cucirle su uno schema molto semplice che riproduce il loro favo, per dare l’idea che si muovessero fra le sue cellette, come fanno in realtà le api mellifere.
Mentre aspettavo ho avuto però altre due idee e ho realizzato altri due schemi: il primo è nato la scorsa luna piena, la luna piena di luglio, che chiamo sempre Luna delle Api. Ho disegnato l’ape al centro della Luna proprio per rappresentare la Luna Piena delle Api e l’ho aggiunta al set, che ho chiamato The Mother of the Bees.

Dear Stitchers, I have finally finished the stitched pieces of my last bees pattern for this year, because after a very lasting waiting the little bronze bees charms finally arrived. I wanted to sew them on a very simple pattern that reproduces their honeycomb, to give the idea of their moving between the cells, as the honey bees actually do.
While I was waiting I had two other ideas, and I created other two patterns: the first one was born last full moon, the full moon in July, that I call the Moon of the Bees. I designed the great bee in the middle of the moon to represent the Full Moon of the Bees and I added it to the set, which I called The Mother of the Bees.

Tutti e tre gli schemi riprendono il motivo dell’alveare, con le piccole celle esagonali, e mentre il più grande rappresenta proprio l’Ape Regina mentre crea le sue piccole figlie, lo schema The Bee Moon rappresenta anch’esso il simbolo della Madre delle Api, in quanto secondo certe leggende le Api verrebbero generate dalla Luna, e le anime luminose si dice che, terminato il ciclo vitale, assumano la forma di api dorate e volino verso la Luna, tornando da Colei che le ha generate.
Ecco dunque tutti i motivi della Madre delle Api e piccolo ornament del favo, Little Hive, con le apine di bronzo che lo perlustrano laboriose! ;)

All the three patterns reproduce the beehive theme, with the small hexagonal cells, and while the larger one shows the Queen Bee while she is creating her little daughters, also the Bee Moon shows the symbol of the Mother of the Bees: infact, according to some legends the bees were generated by the moon, and the luminous souls at the end of the life cycle, are said to assuming the form of golden bees and flying toward the moon, returning from She who generated them.
So here are all the themes for the Mother of the Bees, and a small honeycomb ornament, Little Hive, with the bronze bees that run on it for their hard work! ;)

Il secondo schema invece è per me molto speciale. Mi sono innamorata dell’insegna dell’antica locanda The Mermaid Inn, di Rye, un piccolo e splendido villaggio medievale nel Sussex, in Inghilterra. Quando mi è venuta l’idea di riprenderne il disegno per creare uno schema ho voluto prima di tutto contattare i proprietari della locanda per chiedere loro il permesso. Mi hanno subito risposto che erano felici per questa idea e così mi sono messa al lavoro.

The second pattern is very special to me. I fell in love with the sign of the old The Mermaid Inn, in Rye, a small and beautiful medieval village in Sussex, England. When I came to the idea to draw a pattern inspired by it, I wanted to contact the owners of the inn to ask for their permission. They immediately replied that they were happy for this idea and so I started to work.

Alice in Wonderland

The Addams Family

Il vento ulula, un cancello arrugginito cigola, i corvi si posano sugli alberi spogli e gracchiano tre volte... sarà un buon augurio? Probabilmente no...!
Loro attendono sulla porta della grande casa... siete pronte ad incontrarli... e a ricamarli?!
E' proprio una strana famiglia... una matriarca dalla pelle bianca come la luna che ama le piante carnivore e... tagliare le rose... Un caro marito assai strambo che fuma il sigaro e ingoia le spade; due figli a dir poco particolari... Uno zio strampalato e una nonna strega...
E il maggiordomo?! Assai inquietante...!
Ovviamente sono loro, e chi se non loro? La Famiglia Addams!

 

 

The wind howls, a rusty gate creaks, crows settle on bare trees and croak three times... may it be a good wish? Probably not...!
They are waiting at the door of the big house... are you ready to meet them... and to stitch them?!
It is really a strange family. A matriarch with skin white like the moon, that loves carnivorous plants and cutting roses; a very wacky husband, who smokes a cigar and swallows swords;
Two very unique children, an eccentric uncle and a witched grandmother...
And the butler?! He's very disturbing ...!
Of course! They are (and who else but them?) The Addams Family!

Mercoledì con la sua bambola "Maria Antonietta", decapitata dal fratello Pugsley e succeduta alle varie "Mary Queen of the Scots", decapitata, "Cappuccetto Rosso", divorata dal lupo e deceduta, una delle mogli di Barbablu... deceduta!
Pugsley, in attesa di combinare qualche guaio; Zio Fester, con la sua lampadina!
La Nonna, che prepara una delle sue orride pozioni nel calderone;
Lurch, con la corda che la Famiglia usa per chiamarlo... e che ogni volta fa tremar la casa!
E ovviamente lei... Mano! Appena saltata fuori dalla sua scatolina nera.

Vintage Witch - FREE

Carissime compagne di ago e filo, vi chiedo scusa per il silenzio sul mio blog, ma sto lavorando moltissimo ai nuovi schemi dedicati ad Halloween e (forse...) anche ad una nuova fiaba ;) quindi nonostante avessi già diversi schemi pronti ho voluto aspettare un pochino per iniziare a presentarli, dato che non sono molto "estivi"!

Lo schemino che vi presento oggi è molto semplice e piccino, ma è uno sfizio che mi volevo togliere da tempo! Mi sono decisa a ricamarlo e a presentarlo solo dopo aver finalmente trovato la cornice che volevo tanto, quella che nella mia mente gli apparteneva... e l'ho trovata in un graziosissimo negozio francese. E' un'autentica cornice del 1800 e dentro c'erano due vecchie foto su cartoncino... la adoro!

 

 

Questo schema, che qualcuna riconoscerà, è una riproduzione del famosissimo profilo della malvagia Strega dell'Ovest, del Mago di Oz... :) E anche se devo ammettere che il personaggio non mi è simpatico... adoro il suo profilo (che ho volutamente raddolcito un pochino...)!

Spero che vi piaccia, ed è solo l'inizio... a breve arriveranno altri tre schemi dedicati ad Halloween ;) Siete pronte?!

 

 

Dear needle and thread friends, I'm sorry for my long silence on my blog, but I'm working hard with the new patterns dedicated to Halloween and (maybe...) also to new fairytale ;)

So though I have already prepared several patterns I wanted to wait a little bit before showing them, since they are not very "summerlike"!
The little pattern I'm presenting today is very simple and small, but I created it to satisfy a whim! I decided to stitch it and show it only after I managed to find the frame that I wanted so much, the one that belonged to it in my mind...
I found it in a lovely French shop. And authentic 1800s oval frame (inside there were two old photos on cardboard)... I really love it!

 

 

This pattern, which some of you will recognize, is a reproduction of the famous profile of the Wicked Witch of the West, from the Wizard of Oz... :) And although I must admit that I don't like the character very much , I love her profile!

I hope you like it. It is only the beginning, other three patterns dedicated to Halloween are coming soon ;) Are you ready?!
