All Hallows Night

The night of the spirits is really near us, the mist rises from the torrents, ancient voices whisper in the wind and the Jack O'Lanterns glow in the dark, showing the home way to dearly departed.
Two witches are getting ready for their party... and while one of them polishes the broom, surrounded by owls, the other seeks the key to a secret door, hidden in a cave in the woods...

In their night, the witches will fly to the magical cave, and using the magic key they will enter in a tiny room, illuminated by thousands of candles. Here a large cauldron bubbles and boils a magic potion, and it is said that this potion can ward off any sadness and bring joy, harmony and happiness, because it is the potion of witches, and only they can prepare it in a perfect way!

So the witches will dance and rejoice and celebrate until dawn, in secret and in complicity, like two sisters.
And when the first ray of sunlight will illuminate golden leaves and silver mist, they will disappear, waking up in their bed as after a wonderful dream...

Back to School - The Olde Primary School

In an old Primary School, in a past time, a little girl with brown braids and gray apron engages in learning the alphabet.
The teacher shows the board with her wand:
"What is this, Marie?" Asked to her little pupil.
"Teacher, that's a C!" The girl replies enthusiastically pointing to the blackboard with her hand.

"Good girl!" the teacher says, smiling, "Now take the chalk and copy the letters on your blackboard...".
Marie takes the bag that has embroidered with her hands and pulls out one of the six chalks that she always carries with her. Engaged, she writes letters on her little
blackboard: "A, B and C".
"Very good sweety, you'll go far!". The teacher congratulates Marie.

This pattern was inspired me by the first school day and by emotion that I remember I feeling when I was a child (I skip the desperate cry ... :D).
The pattern is suitable for sewing a small school bag and is accompanied by another little pattern that you can embroider on the chalks bag, or on a pencil case, or whatever you prefer :)
The little chalkboard you see in the picture is very old, dating back to the early 1900's and was once owned by a French girl named Marie. Her name (Marie José Rumeau), written by her or by her teacher, appears on the wooden board, in the upper right.
I was looking for so long an old blackboard just like this, and a few weeks ago I finally found it from a French seller. The blackboard is broken, it has a crack in the middle... and maybe that's why I fell in love even more... It reminded me of Jane Eyre, when she breaks the blackboard drawing upon herself the attention of the terrible Mr. Brocklehurst...
It has given me an infinite tenderness and I realized that it was MY blackboard, the one I was looking for... I love it!

The Guardians of the Sea - FREE

Legend says that in the bottom of the sea lived two Mermaids, holders of the magic Trident that kept the Harmony in the magical world beneath the waves...
The two Mermaids were sisters, yet they were very different. One of them embodied the quiet and changing energy of the moon, the other one embodied the spirit strong and vibrant of the Sun.

All the sons of Sea, from fish to algae, corals, sea flowers and shells, loved them because they preserved Joy and Love, Beauty and Harmony.
The two Sirens were the Guardians of the Sea, and guarded its creatures and many treasures of the seabed.
They were good and beautiful, but if it was necessary they would have become terrible and frightening. With storms and gale they would have shaken the magical trident that reduced in sand anything threatening the peace of their water world.
