The Guardians of the Sea - FREE

Narra la leggenda che in fondo al mare vivessero due Sirene, detentrici del magico Tridente che manteneva l'Armonia nel magico mondo sotto le onde...
Le due Sirene erano sorelle, eppure erano molto diverse. Una delle due incarnava le energie quiete e mutevoli della Luna, l'altra incarnava lo spirito forte e vivace del Sole.

Legend says that in the bottom of the sea lived two Mermaids, holders of the magic Trident that kept the Harmony in the magical world beneath the waves...
The two Mermaids were sisters, yet they were very different. One of them embodied the quiet and changing energy of the moon, the other one embodied the spirit strong and vibrant of the Sun.

Tutti figli del mare, dai pesci alle alghe, dai fiori marini ai coralli e alle conchiglie, le amavano, perchè esse preservavano la Gioia e l'Amore, la Bellezza e l'Armonia.
Le due Sirene erano le Guardiane del Mare, e proteggevano le sue creature e i mille tesori dei fondali.
Erano buone e bellissime, ma all'occorrenza potevano diventare terribili e spaventose, perchè avrebbero agitato il magico Tridente, fra tempeste e burrasca, e avrebbero ridotto in sabbia qualsiasi cosa minacciasse la Pace del loro Mondo acquatico.

All the sons of Sea, from fish to algae, corals, sea flowers and shells, loved them because they preserved Joy and Love, Beauty and Harmony.
The two Sirens were the Guardians of the Sea, and guarded its creatures and many treasures of the seabed.
They were good and beautiful, but if it was necessary they would have become terrible and frightening. With storms and gale they would have shaken the magical trident that reduced in sand anything threatening the peace of their water world.

The Granny and the Deer

C'era una volta una Vecchina, che viveva in una casetta di pietra al limitare di un'antica radura...
La Vecchina amava moltissimo gli animali, che le si avvicinavano senza timore e vivevano insieme lei. Ma soprattutto era diventata amica di un bellissimo cervo, il quale mangiava fra le sue mani e mentre la Vecchina ricamava, a tarda sera, si addormentaca accucciato vicino alle sue gambe.

Once upon a time, there was an old woman, who lived in a stone cottage on the edge of an ancient clearing. The Granny loved animals very much, and they not feared her and lived together her.
Above all she was friends with a beautiful deer, which ate in her hands and, late at night, fell asleep curled up next to her legs, while she embroidering.

 

Quando la Vecchina usciva per raccogliere le erbe per mangiare e per curare, il cervo la accompagnava, e con il muso, o picchiando in terra gli zoccoli, le indicava quelle più fresche e buone, o quelle più ricche di principi medicinali... e così la Vecchina si faceva consigliare, e se le sue zuppe, frittatine e pasticci erano i più buoni che si fossero mai assaggiati, le sue medicine naturali erano le più potenti, e non mancavano mai di guarire coloro che, con rispetto e amore, visitavano la casa della Nonnina in cerca di cure.

When the old woman went out to gather herbs for eating and healing the deer accompanied her, and with its nose, or hitting the ground with its hooves, pointed to the most fresh and good herbs...
So the Granny soups, pancakes and pies were the most good in the country, and her natural medicines were the most powerful.

 

Anche i ricami che la vecchina sapeva confezionare, sempre estremamente semplici eppure vivi e perfetti, erano fra i più belli che si erano mai visti, e soprattutto erano dotati di un potere magico: donavano a chiunque li ricevesse in Dono una buona Fortuna per il proprio Destino, poichè i loro fili erano intrecciati insieme all'Armonia e all'Amore che la Vecchina portava in sè, e che non mancava mai di regalare agli altri.

The old lady's embroideries were simple but perfect, and above all they were endowed with a magic power: everyone who received them were gifted with a good Fortune for their fate, because their threads were twisted together with all the Harmony and the Love of the old woman.

Questo nuovo schema mostra la "Sciurina" con il suo amico cervo, e un bosco di conifere che cresceva proprio intorno alla sua casetta...
E' stato disegnato nel modo più semplice possibile, ricamato con cura e amore e, spero, porterà anche un po' di Fortuna a chi lo vorrà ricamare :)

This new pattern shows the Granny with her Deer and a conifer wood that grew nearby the little stone cottage.
It's designed in a very simple way, it was embroidered with love and I hope it will bring Fortune to everyone who will take it home :)

The Mother of the Harvest - FREE

Il Sole stende i suoi raggi d'ambra sui campi di orzo, grano e avena, mentre le pannocchie di granoturco, protette all'interno delle grandi foglie, iniziano ad assumere il loro bel colore giallo, e si preparano alla mietitura.
Il periodo del Raccolto, nella mia tradizione, viene associato alla Commemorazione di Coloro che sono nate prima, le Antenate, le "Matres", le vecchie sagge che non vivono più, ma che ci hanno lasciato in eredità il loro inestimabile sapere.
Questo schema molto semplice l'ho disegnato e ricamato in loro onore.

 

The sun spreads its amber rays over fields of barley, wheat and oats, while corn cobs, protected within the large leaves, begin to take their beautiful yellow color and get ready to harvest.

In my Tradition the period of harvest is associated with the commemoration of those who were born before us, the Ancestors, the "Matres", the old wise women who no longer live, but who have left us their invaluable knowledge .

For honor them and the great and sacred Harvest I designed this very simple pattern :)

 

Il Granoturco è simbolo del Raccolto e dei Doni del Sole.

La Donna anziana al centro è l’Antenata e il simbolo di tutte le Antenate, che Vegliano su di noi e sul Raccolto.

Onorate in questo periodo infatti sono Coloro che ci insegnano a Raccogliere il lavoro del passato per viverlo nel nostro presente e nel nostro futuro.
L’Antenata ha in mano una Chiave, perché il passato che lei rappresenta, così come i Semi da cui nasce il Frutto, è la Chiave per un buon Raccolto.
Nell’altra mano ha un germoglio di Granoturco: la promessa per i Raccolti futuri.

 

The corn is a symbol of the Harvest and Sun Gifts.

The Old woman at the center is the Ancestor and the symbol of all the Ancestors who watch over us and protect the Harvest.

They are honored at this time because they are those who teach us to gather the work of the past to live in our present and our future.
The Ancestor holds a Key: the past that she represents, as well as the seed from which the fruit is the Key to a good harvest.
In the other hand has a sprig of maize: the promise for future harvests.
