I want to introduce you these two new designs, especially the first one, because it has a special meaning.
This is the ancient siren, usually called Melusine, the “Alchemical Siren”, or the Twin-Tailed Siren, one of the first sirens representation. She was represented, as reliefs or frescos, on ancient monuments and also on the top of churches columns. She was – and still is – a fortune and prosperity symbol: she brings luck, health and is a sacred feminine icon.
Care Ricamatrici, come vi accennavo un paio di giorni fa, sono finalmente pronto con la nuova collezione estiva 2017! Questi sono i primi due schemi che vi presento, e un altro schema sulle mie Api verrà pubblicato nei prossimi giorni – sto aspettando di ricevere un mucchio di charms a forma di api di bronzo che cucirò sul ricamo, sono sicura che vi piaceranno!
Vorrei spiegarvi un pochino questi nuovi disegni, in particolare il primo, perchè ha un significato speciale.
Questa è la sirena antica, spesso chiamata Melusina, la “Sirena Alchemica” o la Sirena Bicaudata, una delle prime rappresentazioni di sirene. Era rappresentata, come rilievi o affreschi, su antichi monumento e anche sui capitelli delle colonne nelle chiese, ed era – così come è ancora – un simbolo di fortuna e prosperità: porta fortuna, buona salute ed è una delle icone del sacro femminino.
The mirror is one of the symbolic objects that are often represented in her hand, and I added also the comb, that is another of the most important symbolic object in the mermaid’s hands. These two objects may mean the beauty of the inner self, the importance of taking care about our own beauty to bring it to the whole world.
This mermaid is the great beauty sign, the destiny keeper and the bringer of the real fortune.
I hope you like it – it’s also designed on the very famous Starbucks tags!
Lo specchio è uno degli oggetti simbolici che sono spesso rappresentati nella sua mano, e ho aggiunto anche il pettine, che è un altro degli oggetti simbolici nelle mani delle sirene. Questi due oggetti potrebbero rappresentate la bellezza del sé interiore, l’importanza del prendersi cura di se stesse per portare la propria bellezza al mondo intero.
Questa sirena è il segno della grande bellezza, è la custode del destino e la portatrice della vera fortuna.

The second pattern is one of my favorite ones, I have loved to imagine the cute portraits of the Queen Bee and her daughters and handmaidens. I designed them in the cutest way I can and I love them so much.
The great Queen Bee is the mother of all the bees, all the beehives depend on her, and her maidens, at her sides, love her and take flowers to her for honor and nourish her.
Il secondo schema è uno dei miei preferiti, ho amato immaginare i ritratti dell’Ape Regina e delle sue figlie e ancelle, così le ho disegnate nel modo più dolce e carino che ho potuto e le adoro!
La grande Ape Regina è la madre di tutte le api, l’alveare dipende da lei soltanto, e le sue fanciulle la amano e le portano fiori per onorarla e nutrirla.
