It is a bird with snow-white feathers, indeed, it looks like it is made of snow.

È un uccellino dalle piume bianche come la neve, anzi, sembra proprio fatto di neve.
Compare soltanto quando nevica, quando i boschi e le montagne si ammantano di neve, e lo si vede svolazzare fra i rami delle conifere, candido e luminoso, mentre canta con la sua voce argentina.
Chi lo sente, prova un intenso senso di candore nel cuore, dimentica i pensieri e ricorda… ricorda il tempo dell’innocenza, della fanciullezza, e per un attimo percepisce lo spirito della neve.
L’uccellino della neve vive solo in inverno, e quando la primavera subentra al tempo del gelo, e la neve si scioglie, anche lui si scioglie e svanisce…
Svanisce… per poi ricomparire ancora,
quando torna l’inverno e dal cielo scende, leggera come piume, la prima neve.
