Little Red Bird

Once upon a time there was a bird, a vivacious little red bird. Its feathers were scarlet and shiny, they sparkled in the light of the sun and moon and wherever it flew it brought joy and love.
The time that the little red bird loved most was when the soft snow fell, the trees were filled with a white blanket and everything seemed magical.
The little bird flew into the woods, from branch to branch, singing the joy he felt in its little heart.

It was so happy and it could emanate the same joy around it, and when flew in the snowy villages and rested on the window ledge of some nice little house, those who lived there felt immediately a feeling of love and happiness, and a deep desire to give love to others.
The little red bird embodied the spirit of Christmas, the loving, warm and joyful presence that inspires the desire to give, to smile and offer bright happiness.

Whenever you see a little red bird, but also any bird that gives you sweetness and the gift of its singing, try to offer it love and gratitude, and to nourish the spirit of Christmas inside you.
This little red bird is the messenger of Christmas... and it will bring a lot of surprises!

I’m also very happy to show you a little creation that you’ll find inside the November-December Just Cross Stitch issue. This is my Miss Santa, and this is her story:

In many countries, before the appearance of the more common figure of Santa Claus, gifts, prosperity and good fortune were dispensed by Winter Fairies and Christmas Ladies. They were often dressed in bright white robes, as the glistening snow, or in deep green, the color of evergreens such as fir or holly. During the Holy Night, these glowing maidens wandered along the snowy streets and passed in each house to see if it was clean and tidy, and if all spinning works had been finished. It was common custom to leave a bowl of hot soup and a glass of wine on the table for them, so they would be grateful and their gifts would be more generous.

I wish you a happy November and I go back to my little workshop to create the best I can offer you for Christmas. See you soon dear!

My Mother's favorite bird. Although she passed her birthday was also in December. I think I may stitch this in memory of her and to commemorate what would have been her 99th birthday.
As for the Christmas ladies...that explains why I haven't gotten anything for Christmas in awhile. No one said my house had to be clean and tidy! That explains everything! I'd better get busy while there's still time! LOL!
I love your designs!
