Little Christmas Bird

It was the night before Christmas, and in the woods, in the villages, in the cities, everything was quiet and silent.
Not a rustle, not a breath of wind, everything was still, everything was waiting.
Then, all of a sudden, a subtle chirping, fine and delicate like a bell, broke the silence, and a few moments later the first light of the morning lit up the sky. Then the woods, the villages, the cities, woke up with a warm and luminous joy in the heart.
The Little Christmas Bird had announced the dawn of the holy day, bringing the greatest gift to homes, nests, burrows: Rebirth in the heart of winter.

Era la notte di Natale, e nel bosco, nei villaggi, nelle città, tutto era quieto e silenzioso.
Non un fruscio, non un alito di vento, tutto era immobile, in attesa.
Poi, ad un tratto, un cinguettio sottile, fine e delicato come un campanellino, ruppe il silenzio, e pochi istanti dopo la prima luce del mattino rischiarò il cielo. Allora il bosco, i villaggi, le città, si destarono con una calda e luminosa gioia nel cuore.
L'uccellino del Natale aveva annunciato l'alba del sacro giorno, portando nelle case, ne nidi, nelle tane, il dono più grande: la Rinascita nel cuore dell'inverno.

I wanted to draw this little American robin to celebrate Christmas, and to wish you all a sacred day full of joy, of simple and true gifts, of sharing with beloved ones.
